The former Speaker House of Representatives, Rt Hon Dimeji Bankole has led three All Progressives Congress (APC) Governors to the private residence of former Oyo State Governor, Rasheed Ladoja in Ibadan, Oyo State Capital.
Penpushing reports that, Bankole a former chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) who recently defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC) arrived the Ondo Street residence of Ladoja in company of Governors Mai Mala Buni (Yobe State), Abubakar Badaru (Jigawa State) and Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi).
They were said to have embarked on a closed-door meeting with former Governor, but as at the time of filing this report the agenda and resolutions from the meeting were not made public, while the host and guests also kept mute
Penpushing further reports that Governor Buni of Yobe State is the Chairman of National Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The former Oyo State Governor, it is recalled was the leader of the coalition which supported Governor Seyi Makinde in 2019 to win the election under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party(PDP)
Penpushing also reports that, Ladoja who was leader of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) facilitated coalition which brought together the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Zenith Labour Party (ZLP); Social Democratic Party (SDP); faction of Action Democratic Party (ADP) and a faction of Alliance of Democracy (AD) to work towards election victory of Makinde who contested under the banner of Peoples Democratic Party(PDP).
The source at the meeting, who revealed that the trio might have come to woo Ladoja into the All Progressives Congress(APC) ahead of the next political dispensation, added that the meeting caught the ruling Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in the state unawares
