Portable is under spell, says elder sister

The elder sister of the notorious and controversial lewd musician, Habeeb Okikiola popularly called Portable has disclosed that he (Portable) is under a family spell,  allegedly traced to one Akeem said to be a member of the family.

Penpushing reports that the embattled portable, who once pronounced himself as Were Olorin (insane musician) is now on the run to evade arrest after he and some thugs allegedly assaulted officials of the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development for sealing off his uncompleted building and hotel which has no necessary permits.

The elder sister who identified herself as Gbemisola and claimed to be the first child of Portable’s mother in a viral video said she came out to apologise on behalf on the run-away musician alleging that a family member is spiritually influencing the singer, responsible for his irrational behaviour and conduct.

“People of Nigeria, I greet you all. I’m Portable’s eldest sister, the first child of his mother. We are just three that our mother gave birth to. Portable has never steal before. I have never come out like this to speak, and he hasn’t even posted me despite being his sister’, she said.

‘But he is the only one taking care of the family. If not for him, I would have died during my sickness. One of our family members, Akeem is the one casting spell on Portable, he is the one spiritually influencing Portable to misbehave and offend Nigerians’, the woman emphasised

Penpushing further reports that, Portable speaking from his hide-out, pleaded with the authorities to release his associates, who had been arraigned in court and in detention, arguing that he is being set-up by unnamed individuals.

The singer, however, challenged the Ogun state government to provide video evidence of the alleged assault, threatening to commit suicide following what he described as overwhelming frustration caused by the situation.

Penpushing also reports that the musician who once declared himself as a product of the zoo had been enmeshed in series of criminal activities which include attacking policemen, slapping a pastor and assaulting individuals among others

The Ogun State Police Command it is recalled in March 2023 arrested the Hip-hop musician over alleged assault and other criminal activities and was thereafter arraigned before a magistrate in court Ota, for criminal charges.

Penpushing reports that he was ordered to be remanded at the correctional centre in Ilaro, for some days, before meeting his bail condition, and subsequent trial, which the development as at today is not known to the public

The former Public Relations of the Command Public Relations Officer Abimbola Oyeyemi as at that time confirmed the arrest of Portable adding that this followed the expiration of a 72-hour ultimatum given to him following his failure to honour earlier invitation by the authorities.

Penpushing further reports that the police emphasized that the action of Portable in a viral video was unruly and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace adding that the known troublesome musician was seen exhibiting irrational behavior and hurling insults at police officers carrying out their legal duty, an action which is criminal and punishable by the criminal laws of Nigeria.

‘The Nigeria Police Force has condemned the actions of one Habeeb Okikiola popularly known by his stage name Portable, in a viral video, where he was seen exhibiting irrational behavior and hurling insults at Police Officers carrying out their legal duty, an action which is criminal and punishable by the criminal laws of Nigeria’, the statement reads.

“The action of the singer in the video was unruly and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace and incitement of violence against the officers who were detailed to execute a warrant of arrest on him for series of allegations of criminal acts leveled against Mr Portable’, the statement added

“The NPF will take all necessary steps to investigate his actions and ensure that he is prosecuted for any criminal activity he may have committed depending on the severity of the offense’, the statement emphasised.

‘The Police will not condone any unruly act, assault or attack on its officers who are on lawful duty. We need to respect our law enforcement agents who perpetually take the risk of maintaining law and order and fight crimes and criminality in our society’, it reads.
