Court sentences Danish to death for killing Nigerian wife, child
A Lagos High Court sitting in Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos has sentenced a Danish, Peter Nielsen, to death by hanging for killing his Nigerian wife, Zainab and three year old daughter, Petra in Lagos State
Penpushing reports that, Lagos State Government had arraigned the 54 year old Nielsen before the court on a two count charge of murder contrary to section 223 of the criminal laws of Lagos, 2015
The Lagos State Government told the court that, the Danish who was arraigned on June 13, 2018, allegedly committed the crime on April 5,2018 at about 3.45am at the Banana Island residence in the Ikoyi area of the state
Penpushing further reports that, Nielsen, however, pleaded not guilty on the two count charge, while on Friday, while delivering judgment, Justice Bolanle Okikiolu-Ighile convicted him and sentenced him to death by hanging on both counts.
