Calm down to get Governor Makinde’s dividends of democracy, Peoples Democratic Party tells members

The Oyo State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has called on aggrieved members of the party to calm down, assuring that their expectations shall be met very soon by Governor Seyi Makinde

Penpushing reports that the party said that as far as it is concerned in the state, there is no crisis in the party, saying that aggrieved party members within the state should be patient with the Governor.

The Publicity Secretary of the ruling party Engr. Akeem Olatunji while speaking with journalists on Wednesday during an interactive session  held at the party secretariat, Molete, Ibadan noted that, although there would be expectations from party members when government is in power but all their expectations cannot be met at once.

“Everybody will smile in couple of months, there is synergy between the government and the party which makes us have a good working relations with the governor’, the ruling party in the state emphasised.

Penpushing further reports that, Olatunji noted that the Governor as the leader of the party is currently studying reports of the reconciliation committee which is all about suggestions for the unity in the party, adding that the Governor is going to get in touch with aggrieved members as soon as possible.

“There is no crisis in PDP as far as we are concern, PDP in Oyo State is one, and the government is not also having any problem with the party, the leadership of the Oyo State House of Assembly is solidly behind the governor’.

Penpushing reports that, Olatunji thanked journalists for standing behind the party and the current administration in the state despite all the challenges faced in 2020, saying that the party is open for discussion and shall not hide any information for the press.

The Oyo State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun lauded the efforts of the press, saying that their efforts towards the success of the current administration in the state cannot be over emphasized.

Penpushing also reports that Olatubosun said the Governor is very much committed to the upliftment of the party and making sure that the party wins 2023 election in the state, adding that the Makinde has done what has been difficult for other Governors in Nigeria.

The Commissioner  noted that the  present administration in the state has not derail in some of its cardinal programs of bringing back children to schools, security of lives and property of the people, and expansion of the state economy through provision of infrastructure.

Penpushing reports that Olatubosun noted that all these achievement wouldn’t have been done without the support of the media, saying that the media has been the platform government using to reached the people, and called for the support of the press towards the success of the administration, saying the government is looking forward for cordial and working relations.
