Burial of Akwa Ibom state first lady holds November 29
The remains of first lady of Akwa-Ibom State Patience Eno who died in a hospital on September 26, following an undisclosed sickness will be committed to mother earth on November 29, 2024, with a week-long event.
Penpushing reports that the Secretary to the State Government, Enobong Uwah made this known in a statement adding that details for the funeral arrangements will commence on November 20 and ending on November 26, 2024.
The statement said the Night of Worships and Tributes will be held on November 22, at the International Worship Centre in Uyo at 6 p.m., while the service of Songs is billed for November 27, at her country home, Ikot Ekpene Udo, Nsit Ubium Local Government Area of the state, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
“The family is deeply grateful for the overwhelming love and support from people and organisations across the country and beyond, and further requests continued prayers, understanding and solidarity’, Uwah said.
Penpushing reports that the bereaved husband it is recalled had, in a state broadcast about a week after his wife’s death, disclosed that his wife was everything a man could ever wish for in a virtuous woman, adding that she was his prayer partner, counsellor, cheer-leader, best critic, homemaker, and permanently smiling and that he will miss her for a lifetime.
