President Muhammadu Buhari has engaged Presidential aspirants of All Progressives Congress (APC) in a closed door meeting which started at about 9pm on Saturday.
Penpushing reports that, those in attendance as at the time of filing this report include: Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, Bola Tinubu(former Governor of Lagos State, Rotimi Amaechi(former Minister of Transport) and Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State.
The President, it is recalled recently called on the Governors to support him in picking his choice successor, while this meeting is holding less than 48 hours before the All Progressives Congress(APC) commences its presidential primary to elect its presidential candidate for next year’s general election.
Penpushing further reports that, a total of 23 presidential aspirants are still in contention to be the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate ahead of the 2023 general election, but the agenda of the meeting was unclear as at the time of this report.
