BRITISH AIRWAYS PILOTS EMBARK ON STRIKE
The airline said without information about which pilots would strike, “We had no way of predicting how many would come to work or which aircraft they are qualified to fly. So, we had no option but to cancel nearly 100 per cent our flights.”
Penpushing further reports that, the British Airline Pilots’ Association (Balpa), noted that one day strike costs the airline about 40 million pounds (49 million dollars), while it is recalled that in July, the pilots declined an offer by British Airways of an 11.5 per cent pay rise over three years.
