ARMED ROBBER SHOT DEAD DURING OPERATIONS ALONG SAGAMU-BENIN EXPRESSWAY

The police spokesman said nemesis caught up with the bandits following a distress call made to the Police at Ogbere Divisional Headquarters consequent upon which the Divisional Police Officer, John Okon led his Anti- Robbery men to the scene where they engaged the bandits in gun duel which lasted for about 30 minutes.

At the end of the encounter, one of the suspects was shot dead while others escaped into the nearby bush’.

Oyeyemi said, recovered from the deceased robber are a locally made long barrel gun, a toy pistol and charms, adding that the Commissioner of Police Ahmed Iliyasu who expressed satisfaction over the performance of his men has ordered a serious manhunt for the rest members of the gang with the view of bringing them to justice.

Penpushing reports further,the Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu has assured members of the public that their security is guaranteed all the time.
