Coronavirus: Nigerian Railway Corporation stops passenger trains operations

The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has resolved to stop passengers’ trains operations effective from Monday, as a result of the threatening coronavirus.

Penpushing reports that, the Deputy Director Public Relations of the corporation Yakub Mahmood in a statement reference number Pro12/Top  Vol 2/1 made available added  that further information on the development will also be made available as time goes on

The statement reads, “the board and management of the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC) have decided to stop all passengers trains operations as from Monday 23rd March,2020. This is in view of the report of the already known coronavirus (Covid 19) outbreak”

Penpushing further reports that the statement said,”further information on passengers trains services will be made available in due course to our esteemed passengers”, the statement emphasised
