APC SENATORIAL PRIMARY: OGUN EAST DISTRICT NEEDS OWODUNNI OPAYEMI

The young Owodunni went to St. Saviors School, Ikenne for his primary education. He attended Remo Secondary School (RSS), Sagamu and later, King’s College, Lagos for his HSC/A’level.He gained Admission into the University of Lagos (UniLag) to read Architecture with the Federal Government Scholarship. While in UniLag, he applied for the Ogun state Scholarship during the tenure of the first Executive Governor of Ogun State, Late Chief Victor Olabisi Onabanjo.

Arch. Opayemi, whose brilliance and hard work earned him a scholarship, was given the opportunity to complete his university education to Master’s level, in architecture in any university of his choice, home or abroad. He chose to go to the United States of America. After the completion of the programme, he came back immediately to serve his fatherland through the NYSC at the Yaba College of Technology.

A devout christian, his marriage of over thirty years to his beautiful sweetheart, Olufunke, has prospered, blossomed, and is blessed with two lovely daughters. He fervently believes that all things are possible with God.

The people of Remo earnestly look up to the ebullient architect to break the jinx of long established marginalisation by their Ijebu brothers, in the spirit of fairness, equity, social and political justice.

Opayemi affirms that: “Yes, I am from Ikenne -Remo,  but I want to be a Senator representing the whole of the Senatorial District. I know the nooks and crannies of the constituency. I know what our people deserve and desire. I know what to influence as a lawmaker, I am aware of what federal presence our people want and what our youth crave for.”
