Amotekun corps arrest suspected killers of 40 congregants
The operatives of Amotekun Corps in Ondo State have arrested some suspects in connection with the forty congregants and over 80 sustaining vary degree of injuries when the assailants attacked St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo on June 5, 2022
Penpushing reports that Ondo State Commander of Amotekun, Commander Adetunji Adeleye, confirmed the arrest, adding that the authorities have also recovered the last vehicle the suspects used in the operation
“We have recovered the last vehicle they used in the operation and we have made some arrests. We have recovered some vital things which we are working on. We are not stopping until we get to the root of this and I assure that the perpetrators and their sponsors will be brought to book’’, he said
Penpushing further reports that, Adeleye who made the disclosure while parading 71 suspected criminals on Thursday explained that, they were arrested within the month for cattle rustling, armed robbery, cultism, kidnapping, human trafficking, and theft of commercial motorcycles.
