Action Peoples Party produces Phd holder as Governorship candidate in Oyo state

The Action Peoples Party (APP) on Tuesday adopted Dr Yinusa Ayandoye as its party Governorship candidate in Oyo State ahead of 2023 gubernatorial election in the state, who boasted that he would unseat the incumbent administration at the poll.
Penpushing reports that, Ayandoye, a Phd holder emerged unopposed through consensus by delegates from 33 local government areas during the party primary election held in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The Governorship candidate in his acceptance speech, announced Reverend Niyi Olaonipekun as his running mate, and also vowed to wrestle power from Governor Seyi Makinde’s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led administration in the state by 2023.
Penpushing further reports that Ayandoye promised not to let the party down, particularly people of the state if voted as Governor, and took time to commend national leadership of the party for stabilising the party.
The Governorship candidate pointed out that the party was able to scale through de-registration of political parties embarked by the Independent Nation Electoral Commission (INEC).
Penpushing also reports that Barrister Dapo Aderibigbe, while speaking on behalf of the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in the state, Mutiu Agboke maintained that all political parties in the state have equal rights.
The commission boss assured that conduct of next election would be fair and unbias urging Action People’s Party (APP) members to collect their voters card in their own interest, stating that election manipulation would not be tolerated during the forthcoming poll.
Penpushing reports that Chairman of the party in the state, Alhaji Waheed Oyewole in his address said work has just started noting that the task of displacing a sitting Governor is not a joke, and urged his members to double their efforts for their dream to come to reality.
