Governor Makinde’s one year in office is nothing to write home about, says Adelabu

The 2019 Gubernatorial candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC) in the last governorship election in Oyo State, Chief Adebayo Adelabu has described the achievements of Governor Seyi Makinde in the last one year of his administration as nothing to write home about.

Penpushing reports that Adelabu said this on over the weekend while featuring on a live radio program in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, adding, “Oyo State is worst if we compare where we were coming from to where we are now because most of the programs and policy of Seyi Makinde is nothing to write home about.

The former candidate of the All Progressives Congress(APC) noted that is wasn’t as if he was castigating the present administration, but just to call the attention of the government to areas where they need to improved.

 

“Security of life’s and property of the people of the state has became worsen, our environment is getting more dirtier, there is no good waste management system anymore, agricultural policy of the present administration is a misplaced priority, the park management system recently introduced by Makinde’s administration is not working, and there is no articulated program in the health sectors of the state. PDP are not ready to govern, their concerns was just to win election, so their victory was sudden because they didn’t expected it’.

Penpushing further reports that while answering questions on the reason why he lost the 2019 election, Adelabu noted that God has destined Makinde to be the Governor for the people of the state to see his capability, adding that only God chooses leaders.

“APC remain party to beat in Oyo State, close to 40% of Oyo state people wants me, but i believe God is preserving me for sooner purpose, 2019 election was an eye opener to us, and the journey to 2023 has just started. Oyo state is our state, and we owe the state good governace, we need to start thinking big in Oyo State, it is my wish to see the state blossom”.
