24 hours after lunch with family: Chief Bode Akindele dies at 88

The renowned, billionaire businessman and the Parakoyi of Ibadanland, Chief Bode Akindele has dead at the age of 88 on Monday, barely twenty-four hours after he organized lunch with his family.
Penpushing reports that the death of Akindele , which cause was yet to disclosed as at the time of filing this report was announced by Ibadan High Chief, Oloye Lekan Alabi, who confirmed that he passed on in Lagos.
The deceased is the father of one of Nigeria’s leading fashion designers, Folake Akindele-Coker, owner of Tiffany Amber brand, and he was a renowned business man who also involved in philanthropy, which birthed the Bode Akindele Yield Initiative (BAYI) targeted at youth development and empowerment.
The Chairman of Madandola Group OG companies through his Bode Akindele Foundation, has for many years awarded scholarships to academic sound and indigent students, and recently donated N25 million each to Oyo and Lagos states as well as N50 million to the Federal Government to assist in the curtailing the spread of coronavirus in the country.
Penpushing further reports that Madandola Group deals in various business ranging from maritime, properties, manufacturing, real estates investments, finance and flour milling with its headquarters in the United Kingdom.
