2023 poll: Don’t submit yourselves to gimmicks of politicians, Achudume tells Nigerians
The General Overseer of Victory Life Bible Church (VLBC), Rev Lawrence Achudume has called on Nigerians on need to take their destinies in their hands, and not submit themselves to any gimmicks from politicians
Penpushing reports that, the cleric made the call in a sermon, ‘The God Factor in Any Man’s Life’, at the Reboth City in Asaba, Delta State, stressing that the advice became imperative for electorates to vote into power people with proven integrity.
The clergyman emphasised that election should be based on merit for solid foundation which will pave way for good governance in the country, observing that money politics has been allowed to derail genuine democracy
Penpushing further reports that, Achudume pointed out and lamented that number of politicians in the country are only interested in what they can personally get from occupying seats of authority
The cleric charged Nigerians to wake up and follow their conscience, avoid voting because of ethnic or religious sentiment, and however, expressed optimism that there is hope for Nigeria, to overcome the present worrisome development.
Penpushing also reports that, Achudume described Governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyin Okowa at the church service, as a man of God, who was destined to change the fortunes of the state
The General Overseer pointed out that, Okowa has been exhibiting leadership qualities, hence, the state has been witnessing positive developmental growth, and encouraged him to remain focused on good work
