2019 ATIKU ENDORSEMENT: FASANMI FACTION OF AFENIFERE KICKED AGAINS ADEBANJO’S FACTION

The  Ekiti State Publicity Secretary of the group Prince Akin Fasaye, while briefing journalists at the end of the meeting declared that the Adebanjo faction remain fake, while the  progressive Afenifere, is being led by Fasanmi, which has the authority to make pronouncement on behalf of the organisation .

Hear him ‘We are the core followers of Baba Awolowo, we have deliberated and decided to give support to President Muhammad Buhari and Professor Yemi Osinbajo come 2019 general elections;, the group declared.

Penpushing further reports that, the Fasanmi led body said that his group did not recognise Ayo Adebanjo’s led Afenifere, adding that the group was not part of the progressives.

“We are the real progressive Afenifere, we have all South-West Governors under the progressive fold and they are our son’s, we cannot go other way round, we are supporting President Buhari and Prof. Yemi Osinbajo come February 15 Presidential election. “

He reiterated that the issue of economy of this nation is collective efforts, noting that President Buhari is doing his best to fix all things for the masses, and Yoruba people still have hope in him because ‘he will still do better if they vote for him come 2019 elections. “

“We are appealing to Yorubas from all part of Nigeria to give support for Buhari and Osinbajo come 2019, Ayo Adebanjo, Yinka Odumakin, Falaye and others are not authentic, though during the time of Baba Awolowo there wERE many voices, and our own Afenifere, is led by Senator Ayo Fasanmi who is the longest living Senator in Nigeria.”

The body said that there has been no time the group did not involve in politics ‘because Afenifere is a socio-cultural and political organisation’, noting that Yoruba is a nation and must have the political interest.

 

Penpushing reports that,the closed door meeting was attended by the former Governor of the old Oyo State, Dr. Omololu Olunloyo, Senator. Ayo Fasanmi, Prince Tajudeen Oluyole Olusola, Abayomi Finnih, Prince Biodun Ogunleye, Elder Yemi Alade among others.
