11,251 DRIVER’S LICENCES UNCLAIMED IN OGUN, SAYS FEDERAL ROAD SAFETY CORPS

The Public Education Officer said the apprehended were driving without valid driver’s license, which is the basic document the state uses to authorize driving on Nigerian roads, adding that, the command has intensified its enforcement drive to improve highway safety in Ogun State.

‘It is however worrisome that most of those apprehended for driving without driver’s license, have their driver’s licenses produced but lying uncollected at the various Licensing Offices across the State. As at Friday 03 May, 2019, there are 11,251 driver’s licenses unclaimed in Ogun State which are at the various Licencing Offices’.

The Command, however, explained that, this notice is to advise the motoring public to contact the Sector Command at the Ibara Housing Estate, Abeokuta or the Ogun State Internal Revenue Service Oke Mosan to check the list of unclaimed driver”s licenses and also claim their driver’s licenses

Penpushing further reports that,the statement added further that, motorists are hereby reminded that driving without a valid driver’s license attracts a fine of N10, 000.
