Women group unveiled in Egbaland ,kick-off with commissioning of N2million borehole project

A  Voluntary Group under the banner of Egba Royal Sisters Worldwide was on Saturday officially unveiled and also commissioned a N2million borehole for the residents of a community in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.

Penpushing reports that the  official unveiling of the group was held at Valley View of the auditorium of Government House, Oke-Igbein,  Abeokuta , with Iyalode of Yorubaland, Iyalode Alaba Lawson in attendance as life patron of the club, as well as Chief Oluwatosin Fadare(Seriki of Egbaland) as father of the day.

The Club President Princess Bolatito Ayorinde inher welcome address disclosed that she founded the club on 5th January,2020 and resolved to officially launch the club a year after, and expressed appreciation  to all members for standing firm towards developmental growth of the club

‘I am highly delighted to welcome you all to the official launching of Egba Royal  Sisters and Brothers. Sincerely, I feel extremely honoured to host you all out of your busy scheduled.I am very grateful to you And I hope you will enjoy being part of today’s event’,Ayorinde added

Penpushing further reports that,she assured that the club wil always work towards development growth of Egbaland, which is their root, and called on members on need to work harder more than before in making life meaningful for the residents of Egbaland

The dignataries at the ceremony also include: Engr Mutiu Adebowale, ,Otunba Yemi Lawal, Yeye(Mrs) Ayotunde Lawal, Hon Adijat Oladipo-Adeleye, Dapo Ajala,Mukaila Olawole Lawal, Mrs Adenike Bolujoko , Olubiyi Dasaolu ,Alhaji Titilayo Akibo, Hon(Mrs) Folasayo Shoyinka and  Chief Taofeek Lawal(Akinrogun of Oke-Ona Egba among others

Penpushing also reports that, the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo represented by Seriki of Egbaland, Chief Tosin Fadare expressed appreciation for the members for the initiatitive to support developmental growth of the ancient town.

The Traditional ruler used the occasion to encourage the group to let unity be their watchword, and ensure that they avoid blackmail, name-calling, allegation and counter allegation against each other,noting that those are the causes of frictions in any society, hence, need to be cautious

Meanwhile, the ceremony programme also include musical entertainment with the popular female Juju musician, Queen Ayo Balogun who was on stage  to provide sonorous music to the guests at the colourful event,which was rounded up with a launch.
