Woman collapses after police fire tear gas at Abuja protesters
A female protester on Friday collapsed in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) after police officers fired multiple teargas to disperse peaceful protesters at the Moshood Kashimawo Abiola (MKO) International Stadium.
Penpushing reports that as at the time of filing this report the has been taken to hospital for treatment, while two sturdy protesters stayed back, defied the health hazard of the tear gas and called for help for the young woman who collapsed.
The police in similar development in many other parts of country, have made it a habit to disrupt peaceful protests with tear gas without concern for the health implications of such, while it is recalled that this action was also carried out on day one of the protest.
Penpushing further reports that the protesters, however, regrouped each time and have vowed to continue their daily protest as part of the 10 days of rage called by the organisers, stressing that their demands must be met by the government.
