WOMAN ARRESTED IN IBADAN FOR ALLEGEDLY FAKING MENTAL DISORDER

An eye witness, Tayo Adebajo  said that the suspect after being questioned before handed over to the police said she always charmed  her victim before putting a call across to her ‘clients’ who in return take away the victims to unknown destination.

“She use charm to beat her victim so as to erased their brain after which the suspect would now call her client in the night to come and pick up the victim to somewhere nobody know’, the eyewitness said.

“She was caught after she used charm to beat one guy (name withheld), the guy quickly went home when he discovered that his arms started swelling up, the guy and his people mobilised themselves and come back to the spot, after a lot of torture, the suspect begged them to take it easy with her saying that this is not her first time of doing that’,Adebajo said

Another person who spoke with journalists but but does not want his name in print, said N200,000 alert was saw on the suspect phone, stressing that a gold wristwatch was also found in her hand

“We noticed her making call to someone that her secret has been leaked, so the person should come and rescue her, she wanted to run away when she saw us coming to approached her. It has been a while we have been seeing her around this area’.

‘Some people said she used to come from Abeokuta, most people said she is not a mad woman but she is just pretending so that she can kidnap the primary schools and secondary schools children passing by’

Penpushing reports further that, the suspect in her own account  said she was not a kidnapper as insinuated by the people explaining that her family house was at Bodija area in Ibadan

Her words, ’my name is Sekinat, am not a kidnapper, and I have never kidnapped anybody in my life, am not living at Abeokuta as it was said by some people, my family house is at Bodija, Ibadan’

Penpushing also reports that, the suspect was, however, later handed over to the police where she was said to be undergoing further investigation as at the time of filing this report, and when contacted the Police Command Public Relations Officer,Adekunle Ajisebutu said suspects were arrested over the development.

He said, they comprised a male and female, who he said there were no evidences linking them to kidnapping, explaining that with findings conducted so far, the suspects were destitute, while medical report indicates they have mental disorder

‘Two persons, a male and female were actually arrested. They were accused of being kidnappers and ritualists ,but there are no evidence of prove to that. The suspects are destitute, and medical report also indicates that they are suffering from some psychiatric problems’, he explained
