WIDOW EMPOWER WIDOWS
The organizer, Kate Jolaoso while speaking at the ceremony held at Fajol Hotels located in Government Reservation Area,(GRA), Ibara, Abeokuta, said the vision was a way to give back to the society through the widows.
She explained further that, she started the programme twelve years ago, following God’s directive to gather widows and empowered them, and put smiles on their faces, adding that she has resolved to continue this, till her final breath on earth.
Her words, ’God gave me the vision to empower widows. It was a vision from God to gather widows and empower them, and put smiles on their faces. I started twelve years ago, and I have promised God that, it is going to be continuous exercise until He call me to Heaven’
Penpushing further reports, that Jolaoso who is also a widow, having lost her husband over two decades ago, said, there was need to encourage widows, noting that losing a husband is not an easy task to face as a single parent.
She also called on them not to lose hopes having found themselves in such situation, adding that, they should also at every time appreciate God, and not relent in efforts in making use of the opportunity of being empowered.
The donor who is an hotelier emphasized further that, as widows, that should not be seen as end to life, stressing that, strong determination to weather the storm is a key factor for survival, hence, need for them to be strong at all time and put the sad event behind them.
