When former military administrator’s son took a wife
Dateline: Saturday ,January 30,2021 and the event was solemnization of holy matrimony between the son of the former Ogun State Military Administrator, Commodore Kayode Olofinmoyin, Idowu and his wife, Sandra, while the venue was Holy Cross Cathedral located at 14 Catholic Street, Lagos Island in Lagos State.
Penpushing reports that, the wedding ceremony under strict compliance of coronavirus guidelines and protocols had in attendance restricted number of guests which include personalities within and outside the country.
The couple and their parents were beaming with smiles, as the day also marked the 45th year marriage anniversary of the groom’s parents, a ceremony regarded and described as double celebrations for the Olofinmoyins
Penpushing further reports that, the officiating priest, Bishop Felix Ajakaye in his sermon congratulated the couple for making history and advised them to let God guidance be their watchword, adding that loving each other is the bedrock of good marriage.
The cleric said they should also guide against interference in their marriage from outside, stressing that lack of trust in any marriage is dangerous, hence, the duo should continually trust each other all time and avoid hearsay.
Penpushing also reports that, the clergyman said parts of the couple responsibility and focus is to start raising their own family, stressing that the duo should not lack in individual role of raising a happy home, expressing optimism that God will see them through.
The Bishop told the parents of the couple to give them breathing space, and avoid conducts that may affects the home of the husband and wife, explaining that, the parents’ roles including positive and good guidance.

‘You are God’s chosen race, his saints, he loves you, and you should be clothed in sincere compassion, in kindness and humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with one another; forgive each other as soon as a quarrel begins. The Lord has forgiven you, now you must do the same’
Penpushing further reports that, the Bishop in the sermon told the couple to always be thankful, and let message of Christ and the richness find a home with them, teach each other and advise each other, in all wisdom.
The solemnization of the holy matrimony was later moved to reception venue located at the Naval Dockyard in Lagos Island, where guests of the couple were treated to lavish dining and winning, as well as cutting of the cake.
Penpushing reports that, the couple with the bridal party and their families cannot hold back their joy as they were dancing and praising God for the historic day, as well as the compere of the day dishing out various ribcracking jokes in making the venue alive at every second.
The Chairman of the occasion, former Military of Lagos State, and two term Civilian Governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola in his remarks, said he was happy to chair the memorable occasion, drawing attention of the couple to the fact that marriage is long life journey.
Penpushing also reports that, Olagunsoye who prayed for the couple reminded them to keep matrimonial sacrament, which he emphasized has no alternative and must be abide with to keep their home perfect and intact.
‘Marriage is a long life journey, you need to keep matrimonial sacrament, no alternative but to abide. It is a long life celebration. Put God first in your affairs, and avoid third party influence, with God on your side, you will be blessings for your parents and your own children’, he emphasized.
