WE WILL START PAYMENT OF CORPERS’ ALLOWANCE SOON, SAYS OGUN ELECTORAL COMMISSION
It is recalled that, weeks after the elections, the Corpers who were engaged in the elections were yet to receive their allowances unlike their counterparts in other States who have received theirs.
Penpushing further reports that, the Administrative Secretary boasted, “everything is alright with Ogun State, the money will be paid very soon”, and when asked if there is any plans by the Commission to generate interest through the money, debunked the story, explaining that the delay is because they are trying to reconcile issues surrounding the accounts.
“That story is not correct, the money is being paid online, and we are just trying to reconcile issues regarding account of those that worked, it is not only Corpers that worked, ex-corpers also worked, even up till now, some of them are yet to get the allowances for the Presidential election and National Assembly elections, so we want to be through with that before moving over to the payment of the Governorship election”
The Administrative Secretary, emphasized that payment will take effect in the next few days online, adding, “this month? In the next few days, they will start receiving alert for the payment
