The statement added further that, the reunion event will be a day to also remember the likes of Late Princess Christie Suinner and others who passionately and selflessly served the Alumni by sponsoring a lot of community projects until her death.”
Ogunrinde explained that, the IVLP is the U.S. Department of State’s foremost professional exchange program, through short-term visits to the United States, present and budding overseas leaders in a multiplicity of disciplines experience America firsthand and develop lasting relationships with their American counterparts.
The coordinator said, professional meetings are set up to reflect the participants’ professional interests and support the foreign policy goals of the United States, adding that IVLP Participants are nominated and selected annually by the staff of U.S.A. Embassies and Consulates around the world.
‘Each year nearly 5,000 International Visitors from all over the world come to the U.S. A. on the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP). More than 200,000 International Visitors have engaged with Americans through the IVLP over the years, including more than 100 current or former Chiefs of State or Heads of Government’ ,the statement said.
