WE ORGANISE FREE JAMB COACHING TO COMPLEMENT EFFORTS OF THE OYO GOVERNMENT – HON BABALOLA

The Caretaker Chairman of Ibadan East Local Council Development Area, Agugu, Ibadan, Hon. Abiodun Babalola has disclosed that he organized a free JAMB coaching for secondary schools students in his COUNCIL, in order to complement the efforts of the State Government on improving education.

Penpushing reports that Babalola made this disclosure over the week end , during the official Flag-off Ceremony of Omituntun Free JAMB Coaching, which was held at United Junior Secondary School, Idi-Obi, Ibadan.

“We have been empowered by the Governor Seyi Makinde to test run our ability in our various LG and LCDAs, we belief in education because whoever gives education gives light, light will gives you direction, and as soon as someone have direction, success is sure”,he stated

“Today’s program is organized as part of activities of my administration to complement the good gestures of Governor Seyi Makinde to make education affordable to the grassroot people, my administration has different activities directed to have a meaningful impact on the lives of the Ibadan East Local Council Development Area.”

Penpushing further reports that Babalola noted that since Governor Seyi Makinde’s led administration came on board, Oyo State has recorded a huge success and turn around in the standard of education in the State through the introduction of free education, free text books, and notebooks to all pupils of primary and secondary.

“In order to complement the efforts of the state government, Ibadan East LCDA has organised Omituntun free JAMB, because we know that education is the bedrock of any good government, and it is on this premises the LCDA embarked on bulldozing of the thick bush at Lagelu Grammar School to access road without any hindrance to United Secondary School which is the venue of the coaching’.

“Aside from the coaching exercise, the LCDA has set up a committee to embarked on inspection to various schools within the jurisdiction of the LCDA to ascertain the area in which the council can come to their aids, and the report of the committee shall be considered accordingly.”

The Council boss,  however, urged the beneficiaries to make use of the program and give maximum cooperation to their teachers in order to achieve the best in them, and enjoined all the citizens and residents of the council  and state at large to continue to support and cooperate with the Governor in his commitment to transform the State with dividends of democracy.

Penpushing also reports that one of the beneficiaries of the free JAMB coaching program, Olapoju Shina explained that the challenges been faced by students before the intervention of the council was enormous recalling that some of them were discouraged to obtained JAMB form as a result of its financial implication

Meanwhile, the Principal of United Junior Secondary School, Agugu, Ibadan, Mrs Oduola Oluremi pointed out that the free coaching will assist a lot, saying that there are some students who are good but their parents couldn’t afford their JAMB fee because they are poor.
