Vehicle smuggling rice in accident, driver hospitalised

A vehicle carrying smuggled rice on Saturday involved in road crash in Deboreh village axis  along                  Abeokuta – interchange Express way, with the driver sustaining serious injuries and hospitalosed as at the time of this report

Penpushing reports that, the Public Relations Officer of Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency,(TRACE) Babatunde Akinbiyi who confirmed the incident said the accident involved Nissan primera black colour with registration number LSD 59

The agency spokesman said the accident was linked to suspected tyre burst as a result of overloading of smuggled rice, adding that as at the time of filing this report, the injured driver had been taken to Adedero hospital

Penpushing further reports that, he said the crash affected  flow traffic for period of time, while the traffic officers thereafter clear the road and normalcy has been restored
