Nigerian footballer slumps, dies during league match

A football player with the Nasarawa United player, Chieme Martins on Sunday slumped and died during  one of the Nigeria Professional Football League(NPFL) games involving his club and Katsina United   Football Club

Penpushing reports that, sources said the deceased had collision with a Katsina United player, while all efforts  to revive him by medical personnel  at the stadium, before he could be  rush to the hospital proved abortive.

The Nasarrawa United Football Club officials were yet to issue a statement on the sad development, as at the time of filing this report, but the deceased teammates were seen crying profusely over the loss of their colleague.

Meanwhile, the deceased club won the game 3-0  at the end of the match, while his death was made known  to his mates and spectators as the match lasted
