Husband kills wife in Jigawa state
A 26 year old man,identified as Yusuf Zubairu, has allegedly killed his 23 year old wife, Fatima Hardo,on Decemeber 27, 2021 at Baldi village in Sule-Tankarkar Local Government Area of Jigawa State
Penpushing reports that, Jigawa State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Lawan Adam,who confirmed said the incident was reported by a 65 year old man,Bulama Muntari-Ubale, who said this followed a misunderstanding between the couple.
“In the process of the fracas Yusuf Zubairu (AKA Sallau) used a stick and hit Fatima Hardo (now deceased) to stupor, on her head. When one Rabi Lawan, of the same address, came and separate them, the said Yusuf Zubairu, also inflicted serious injury on her,” Adam said.
Penpushing further reports that, the command said on receipt of the report, a team of policemen rushed to the scene and conveyed the victims to Gumel General Hospital where she was confirmed dead by a medical doctor.
The police spokesperson explained that while Rabi (the injured victim) was admitted and as at the time of filing this report, hes responding to treatment at the hospital,adding that the suspect was arrested and exhibit recovered from him, and that investigation is ongoing.
