TWO MONTHS TO ELECTION: LADOJA DUMPS AFRICAN DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS FOR ZENITH LABOUR PARTY
He explained that, that was why he decided to go to the Zenith Labour Party(ZLP), emphasizing, ‘am interested in winning the coming elections and with what is currently going on in Oyo ADC, I don’t think the party can win the 2019 election’.
The former Governor added that, African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the state is been controlled by those he described as the invisible leadership, who controls the affairs of the party from one corner and they are not ready to listen to anything that can make the party to move forward, nor progress.
“I have advised them on several occasions on many issues that can make the party progress but they always refuse and that is why I said since they are not ready to move into winning direction that is why I decided to go to Zenith Labour Party where we have more people that are ready to go with ideas and advise that will be useful for the party.”
“We have Sarafadeen Alli as our party Gubernatorial Candidate and we also have other candidates vying for various positions such as Senate, House of Representatives, and State House of Assembly, so the party is ready to go to poll come 2019 general elections and I am optimistic that our party, Zenith Labour Party will win the election in this State come 2019’.
Penpushing further reports that, Ladoja while answering question on the reason why he left his godson Senator Olufemi Lanlehin who is a Gubernatorial Candidate of African Democratic Congress(ADC) in the cold after assisting him to get the ticket of the party, explaining that, that was a wrong assumption.
He added that he called Lanleyin to reason along with him on several occasions but later the party elders take a decision without taking cognizance of the consequences it may cause the progress of the party in 2019 general election.
“You can imagine there are a lot of things that is not even clear to the party Gubernatorial candidate as well, for instance the choice of picking Lanlehin’s running mate is not clear to Lanlehin himself, he was not given the priviledge to pick who will be his Deputy and that is too bad.”
“How will a Governor run an effective government without a good relationship with his Deputy If you don’t have such good relationship from the day one?. My Deputy was not imposed on me when I was the Executive Governor of this State, these and some other issues which are very crucial to the party are the main reason for my defection from the party to the Zenith Labour Party. ” Ladoja said.
