Two killed as tanker explodes on Lagos-Ibadan expressway

Two persons were reported killed  when a tanker laden with PMS crash and exploded  in front of CDK company  few kilometers after Sagamu interchange along the busy Lagos-Ibadan expressway

Penpushing reports that, Public Education Officer of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC),  Ogun State Sector Command, Florence Okpe made this known in a statement, adding that eight persons were involved.

The Superintendent Route Commander disclosed that four vehicles were involved which include Mack tanker, Howo  Sino truck, Mercedes  mini truck and Bajaj motorcycle, adding that number plates are unknown as at the time of filing this report

Penpushing further reports that, Okpe disclosed that 6 persons were unhurt, adding that the suspected cause of the multiple crashes was speed on the part of one of the driver of the trucks,adding that fire fighters arrived the scene to put off the fire.

The Public Education Officer of Federal Road Safety Corps(FRSC),  said road personnel were on standby to control traffic within the axis, and advised motorists to drive cautiously, obey traffic rules and regulations.
