Two hawkers killed, three others injured in Lagos-Ibadan expressway auto crash

A multiple fatal auto crash along Lagos-Ibadan expressway on Friday claimed two hawkers and three others sustaining injuries, while as at the time of filing this report the remains of the dead had being deposited in the morgue.

 Penpushing reports that, the Public Relations Officer of the Ogun State Traffic Corps, Babatunde Akinbiyi, wo confirmed the accident said five vehicles were involved in the accident, adding that the injured were taken to Famobis Hospital, Mowe in Obafemi-Owode local government area

The agency spokesman said an eyewitness; said the  driver of the Mack truck with registration number SMK 82 XY loss  control and the vehicle fell into dish, in the process it killed two female road side hawkers.

Penpushing further reports that, Akinbiyi said  the vehicle was inbound Lagos, around lotto axis when it lost control, skidded off the road, adding that the  vehicle has been taken to Mowe Divisional Police Station.

The Public Relations Officer commiserated with the family of the deceased,and aalso urged motorists to avoid overspeeding and reckless driving in view of its attendant consequences, adding that the driver was in police custody as at the time of this report.
