Twitter deletes Buhari’s controversial tweet

The Twitter has deleted a post by President Muhammed Buhari following a message posted on his page with a threat to deal ruthlessly with those he considered as bent on destroying Nigeria through insurrection.”

Penpushing reports that, the statement seen as his (Buhari) method on how to find lasting solutions to insecurity in some parts of the country, generated furore as many Nigerians accused the President of making a reckless comment.

The President in the comments made reference to the civil war, declaring that “those of us in the fields for 30 months, who went through the war, will treat them in the language they understand.”

Penpushing further reports that, the authorities of the social media network in reaction to the tweet declared that, the comments violates the rules, hence pulling down the comments, and this followed, request by some citizens  asking Twitter to suspend his account saying his tweet “expresses intentions of self-harm or suicide
