Tunde Oladunjoye to be buried on Sunday in hometown
The remains of Comrade Tunde Oladunjoye former Publicity Secretary of All Progressives Congress (APC), Ogun State Chapter will be committed to mother earth on Sunday April, 2025 at Ijebu-Itele, his hometown.
Penpushing reports that Oladunjoye died in London Hospital on Friday, April 4, 2025.at age 58 following a brief illness, while it is recalled that the Civil Society Coalition in collaboration with friends of the deceased popularly called CATO had earlier on Sunday organized a befitting tribute in his memory, held at June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.
The farewell programme for the deceased which include lecture delivered by a veteran journalist and human rights activist Richard Akinola was attended by number of people within outside Ogun State and Nigeria.
Penpushing further reports that the organisers comprising 56 members on a platform designed for the take-off of activities towards the final burial of Oladunjoye, were equally committed to the success and well package events.
The family of the deceased in a statement by her daughter Rukayat Oladunjoye announced the burial arrangements which stated that the burial will take place on Sunday, 20th April 2025, in accordance with Islamic rites.
‘With total submission to the will of Allah, we announce the burial and Fidau prayer for our father, husband, and brother, Abdulraheem Olatunde Oladunjoye, who died on Friday, the 4th of April 2025’, the statement reads.
Penpushing also reports that the family explained that Janazah prayer will be held at Ijebu-Itele Central Mosque at 9:00 am, thereafter, the body will be taken to the deceased residence in Ijebu-Itele for burial.
The statement added that Fidau prayer will take place at The St. John’s Primary School, Ijebu Itele, at 2:00 pm, praying that Allah grants him Jannatul Firdaus and comforts the family he leaves behind.
