Tinubu is my teacher in politics, says all progressives’ congress national chairman
The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), Prof Nentawe Yilwatda has admitted that President Bola Tinubu is his political teacher who he is leaning politics from.
Penpushing reports that Tilwatda made this known while speaking at a ceremony where he was conferred with the traditional title of “Kaeh-rit” (meaning “the good seed of Ampang East”) held in Kanke Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The National Chairman of the party described Tinubu as one of the best politicians one can learn from, stressing that since he(Tinubu) adopted him as his son, he has learned so much from him
“I’m learning from the best leader, Asiwaju Tinubu. Mr President is one of the best politicians you can learn from, and since adopting me as his son, I’ve learned so much from him’,Yilwatda stated.
“He is teaching me, and so I’m learning. If you see me succeeding, it’s because I’m learning from the very best politician ever produced in Nigeria. So why not? I will work towards achieving what he has done also, being one of the best politicians in Nigeria’, he said.
Penpushing further reports that Yilwatda donated ₦10 million, seedlings and other farm inputs to farmers in Kanke Local Government Area to boost food security, in line with Tinubu’s efforts to enhance food production and reduce poverty.
The party boss expressed optimism about Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s recent defection to the All Progressives Congress(APC), adding that Plateau State would benefit from having government and party structures under one political platform.
Penpushing also reports that he emphasised the All Progressives Congress(APC’s) inclusive membership policy, emphasizing that all members have equal rights within the party.
“The person that comes into the APC today has equal rights with someone who has been there for a thousand years, because we do not differentiate among our members. Some people claim that when you go to a party, they will say they are the original owners because they have been there for many years.
“We don’t have that in APC. As a government steps in with its supporters, we will have one single family that will work together for the benefit of Plateau. The essence of this is that the national budget and local government structures will align so that all our systems, from the national level down to the grassroots, are structured for the benefit of the people of Plateau,” he said.
