Tinubu has constitutional rights to contest 2023 Presidency, says Osoba
Former Ogun State Governor and chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Chief Olusegun Osoba said his former Lagos State counterpart, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has constitutional right to contest for 2023 Presidential race if interested.
Penpushing reports that, Akinrogun of Egbaland made this known while featuring on a television programme on Tuesday, explaining that as an individual, Tinubu has the right to put himself forward for the race
“Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as an individual has the right to put himself forward, we have not zeroed in on an individual. Zeroing in on any individual will destroy our efforts now but Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has a right to pursue his own agenda,” Osoba explained.
Penpsuhing further reports that, the veteran journalist explained that the South-West must unite and put its house in order if committed in succeeding the present administration in the country, adding that there had been a gentleman’s agreement within the ruling party that the South will produce next President in the country.
“There is so much noise from the East”, nobody has contacted him or other chieftains of the party to show interest in running for president in 2023. As an elder in the party, nobody from the South-East has contacted or consulted me to lobby, to even say they are interested,” Osoba said
