Tinubu begins state visit to France on Wednesday, says Presidency

The Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu will on Wednesday begin a state visit to France in honour of an invitation from President Emmanuel Macron., and during the visit the two Presidents will harmonise positions on stimulating more interest in exchange programmes.

Penpushing reports that the President spokesperson Bayo Onanuga made this known in a statement on Tuesday adding that Tinubu will be accompanied by his wife, Oluremi, and would be received on Thursday at the 350-year-old French military museum, Les Invalides and Palais de l’Élysée, by Macron and his spouse, Brigitte

The statement added that the airport receipt will be initial ceremonies that will dovetail into bilateral meetings, stressing that the three-day visit will focus on strengthening political, economic, and cultural relations and establishing more opportunities for partnership.

Penpushing further reports that Onanuga stated that the opportunity will also particularly be in agriculture, security, education, health, youth engagement and employment, innovation, and energy transition, promises significant benefits for Nigeria.

The statement said both leaders will participate in political and diplomatic meetings highlighting shared values on finance, solid minerals, trade and investments, and communication and will equally witness a session by the France-Nigeria Business Council, which oversees private sector participation in economic development.

Penpushing also reports that Onanuga said the two first ladies on their parts will discuss the Nigeria’s first lady passion for empowering women, children, and the most vulnerable through the Renewed Hope Initiative.

The statement explained that during the visit, Tinubu and his counterpart will harmonise positions on stimulating more interest in exchange programmes that focus on skill development for youths and improving their competencies in automation, entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership.

Penpushing reports that Onanuga who equally disclosed that top government officials will accompany Tinubu on the trip added that he (Tinubu) and his wife will be hosted at a state dinner by the French leader before their departure.
