SUSPECTED RITUALIST ARRESTED WITH TODDLER’S CORPSE
Oyeyemi who confirmed to the incident said the suspect wrapped the dead body in a polythene bag.
Oyeyemi further added that,the 42 year old Ajiboye boarded a vehicle at Sapade garage in Remo axis of the state, when odour eased out from the polythene bag he was carrying.
He said the odour coming out of the bag arouse the suspicion of people in the motor park who quickly alerted the police at Isara Division.
‘Upon the information, the DPO isara CSP Yusuf Taiwo led policemen to the scene where the suspect was promptly arrested’,he said.
The police spokesman said,on searching of the bag, it was discovered that a dead baby was wrapped there in.
‘On interrogation, the suspect claimed that he was coming from Offa in Kwara State heading to Lagos where he intended to bury the baby’.
He said,the authority not satisfied with the claim, took the suspect to Isara Division for further investigation,adding that, the Commissioner of Police, Ahmed iliyasu has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to homicide section of the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for proper investigation.
