Suspected political thugs turn former mobilization director of peoples democratic party, Ajomale to punching bag

Suspected political thugs on Thursday allegedly turned a former Director of Mobilization of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ogun State Chapter Prince Lukman Ajomale to a punching bag at chieftaincy ceremony of the party chairman held in Abeokuta.

Penpushing reports that Ajomale was at the reception of the ceremony where he was attacked shortly after leaving the dancing floor after the musician performing praised sing him, and linked him with Senator Olamilekan Solomon.

The former Director of Mobilization of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), it is recalled shortly after his resignation pitched tent with the camp of Solomon popularly called ‘Yayi’ rumoured to be eyeing Governorship seat in 2027.

Penpushing further reports that Ajomale, narrating his ordeal to journalists alleged that two chieftains of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from Ijebu-East Local Government and Remo-North Local Government respectively led the attack.

The victim said his appearance at the ceremony hosted by Dr Sikirulai Ogundele who was installed new Obalumore of Owu kingdom, angered his attackers who are loyalists of the Governorship Candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP, Hon Ladi Adebutu.

Penpushing also reports that his decision not to pay obeisance to his former boss, Hon Ladi Adebutu did not also get down well with the aides, who equally accused him of not qualify to be at the ceremony having left their camp.

The former Director of Mobilization of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), explained that the wrath of the duo of Ladi’s aides got heightened when it was noticed that the musician, Shefiu Alao was praise singing him as Yayi loyalist.

Penpushing reports that Ajomale said all his explanation that the ceremony was not organized by Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) fell on deaf ears of the aides, adding that within twinkle of an eye, suspected thugs descended on him.

The politician said his attackers trailed him to the reception of Neugate Exclusive Event Centre, Quarry Agbeoba, Abeokuta, while he was making arrangement for a room reservation, and launched violent attack on his person.

Penpushing also reports that Ajomale said he was beaten blue and black, with chunk of his money and personal effects seized, adding that he was able to escape further beaten, with the assistance of Niyi Osoba, a former campaign secretary general of the party who hurriedly drove him away from the scene

“Hon Owode Waliu Ifedolapo a.k.a Biggy first attacked me whilst others pounced on me. I then ran out of the premises of the Hotel and they also pursued me. They took all the money that i had on me” he added.

‘Thank God that the key of my car was with Comrade Niyi-Osoba, whom we went to the party together. It was him that brought my car to me after I came out of my refuge. The action was their level of political immaturity, intolerance and rascality’, he added

Penpushing reports that Ajomale said he has handed over his attackers to God for judgement, stressing that it is amazing that some elements within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were trying to turn social gathering to political ground

The Publicity Secretary of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ogun State Chapter, Akinloye Bankole when contacted said the party or any of its leaders are not aware of any such attack

‘Interestingly, our darling leader and other party leaders that decorated our amiable party chairman, Alhaji Sikirulahi Ogundele with their precious attendance at the reception party of the chairman were not even aware of any attack’

‘It is a widely known fact that Mr. Ajomale, in his capacity as the Director of Mobilization operated under the supervision of our state youth leader, Mr Sunkanmi Oyejide, (Suco) as provided by our party constitution and was involved in countless cases of gross abuse of privilege which must have pitched him against so many people including innocent female members of the public owing to his insatiable and illicit frivolities with young and old ladies’, Bankole said.

‘Clearly no member of PDP was involved in any form of fracas with anybody. We were all present and enjoy the cordiality and decency which the social gathering provided.  I can only plead with Ajomale to wash off any hallucinations and purge himself of dirty tendencies of explaining his self-inflicted pains instead of dragging our esteemed leaders and respected members to his misfortune’, he added.
