Penpushing further reports that, the Apex Court also ordered that Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) should immediately declare the party with the highest number of lawful votes and geographical spread the winner of the election.

The interpretation of the judgment is that, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Diri Duoye, is expected to be inaugurated as Governor of Bayelsa State, while the party Governorship Candidate, Diri, had earlier filed a suit against Messrs Lyon and Degi-Eremienyo, and the electoral commission, seeking the disqualification of the All Progressives Congress(APC ) Deputy Governorship Candidate.

Penpushing also reports the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its Governorship Candidate  had claimed that  Degi-Eremienyo gave false information in his CF 0001 form submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission( INEC).
