Sunday Igboho storms Ogun state to flush out suspected Fulani herdsmen criminals
The popular Yoruba freedom fighter, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly called Sunday Igboho on Monday stormed Ogun State, as part of his efforts in helping the state to flush out suspected herdsmen killers
Penpushing reports that, on arrival he disclosed that, he would take his campaign against the criminally minded Fulani herdsmen to all the South West, stressing that enough of maiming, kidnapping and killings of his kinsmen by the criminals
“We are here in solidarity with our brothers and sisters. Fulani herders are killing us in various South-west states, and that’s why we, the youths, came out to demand our rights. That is why I am saying all Fulani herdsmen should vacate Yoruba land’.
‘There is peace now in Igangan and that’s not the only place I want peace to reign. We are going to all Yoruba land. I appreciate Ogun governor, he loves his people and that’s why we are in Ogun State today’, he emphaised.
Penpushing further reports that, Igboho whose first visit was in Yewa axis of the state explained that the current battle is a fight for all including Christians and Muslims, adding that he was optimistic of winning the fight against the criminals
“I have not seen any Yoruba person sabotaging my efforts because the current battle is a fight for all including Christians and Muslims. We are all fighting. Thanks to the kings, and Nigerians in the diaspora”
Penpushing also reports that, it is recalled in one of his fight against criminal activities, he sent packing the Fulanis and their leader, Seriki from Ibarapa area of Oyo State, following incessant killings of the indigenes
The Ogun State Government through the Governor’s Special Adviser on Public Communication, Remmy Hazzan had earlier stated that it was ready to appreciate whoever is genuinely ready to assist in dealing with the menace of the herdsmen
“Anybody who is hoping to help us with the security situation is welcome. Not only Sunday Igboho, whoever has what it takes to help us get security right is welcome in Ogun State”, Hazzan was quoted saying
Penpushing reports that record has it that, Ogun West Senatorial District of the state has experienced voluminous criminal activities of the suspected Fulani herdsmen, which include raping and killings.
