STRAY BULLET KILLED PASSENGER, ONE INJURED AS POLITICAL THUGS ATTACK GOVERNOR’S CONVOY

Penpushing further reports that, the motorcade was t forced to stop by the suspected political thugs along Gawon Nama, a stone throw to the resident of Aliyu Wamakko, when another set of suspected hoodlums carrying arms confronted it, but it took the efforts of security operatives to get the convoy moving again.

Penpushing also reports that in the course of the pandemonium, a car bearing the logo of All Progressives Congress (APC) travelling from Bodinga to Sokoto was also set ablaze by mobs along the Sokoto State University.

Speaking with journalists, a relative of the victim said the deceased, Imran Ahmad-Alkanci(22), was  trying to get a commercial motorcycle on his way home after visiting family relations when the bullet hit him.

When contacted, the Sokoto State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Cordelia Nwawe confirmed the incident, as well as the death of one person and another injured who had been hospitalised.
