Penpushing further reports that he pledged that there was no going back on the reconstruction of the road, boasting that his administration has constructed more roads across the state more than past two administrations, referring to former Governors Gbenga Daniel and Ibikunle Amosun government

The Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Ade Akinsanya, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Engr. Lateef Yusuf, earlier in his speech said the three-kilometre  Prof Wole Soyinka train station road would provide access to the MKO Abiola Trade Fair Complex, Laderin, Lukosi and other surrounding communities, noting that it would ease movement and boost commercial activities.

Penpushing also reports that a former member of the House of Representatives and the Osi of Egbaland, Chief Bode Mustapha, recalled the deplorable state of the road in the past, stating that its reconstruction, alongside other projects, has significantly benefited Ogun Central Senatorial District and Abeokuta under the Abiodun administration.

The Chairman of the Articulate Motorcycle Owners Association of Nigeria (AMORAN) in the state, Alhaji Taofeek Sokoya, in his remarks said the road was previously a no-go area due to its poor condition, as transporters avoided it, and commended the Governor for rehabilitating the road.
