Special Weapon Tactics Commander, Murph Salami shines at officers mess ceremony, bags outstanding community policing exploits award

The Commander of Special Weapon and Tactics (SWAT), Ogun State Police Command Murph Salami, a Chief Superintendent of Police has been bestowed a prestigious award for his outstanding community policing exploits in the state and environs.

Penpushing reports that Salami received the award at the 30th Nigeria Police Force Officers Mess anniversary with the theme, ‘A celebration of Security and Good Relationships’, held at the Police Officers Mess located within Government Reservation (GRA), Abeokuta

The super cop beaming with smiles during the ceremony got a thunderous ovation from the guests and other officers which include the Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo when he was called out for receipt of the award and decoration.

Penpushing further reports that other notable dignitaries at the colourful event include Edward Ajogun(former Commissioner of Police), Akinwunmi Fasakin (Ogun State Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Commission), Sarah Ehindero (Deputy Commissioner of Police) and Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji (Founder Penpushing Media) among others.

The Commissioner of Police in his speech expressed appreciation to organisers of the ceremony and their unwavering dedication to collective safety and community development in the state and environs.

‘I am honored to stand before you today to celebrate this significant milestone – the 30th anniversary of the Honorary Police Officers Mess, G.R.A Ibara Abeokuta. On behalf of the Ogun State Police Command, I extend my warmest congratulations to each and every one of you for your unwavering dedication to our collective safety and community development’, he said.

Penpushing also reports that Ogunlowo pointed out that the celebration was a testament to the enduring partnership between the Nigeria Police Force and the community, noting that their contributions to maintaining law and order deserves commendation

‘Your contributions to maintaining law and order, preventing crime, and promoting peace in our great state are invaluable. Your selflessness, commitment, and tireless efforts to ensure the well-being of our communities deserve our utmost appreciation’, he emphasised.

Penpushing reports that Ogunlowo said he was honoured to be present at the award ceremony, and congratulated the awardees who have made significant contributions to the command collective endeavors.

‘It is also my pleasure to present awards of appreciation to individuals who have made significant contributions to our collective endeavors. To the 16 awardees, I congratulate you on your recognition. Your dedication to duty, service to the community, and commitment to excellence are shining examples for us all’, he stated.

‘As we celebrate this milestone, we acknowledge the challenges ahead and reaffirm our commitment to working together to build a safer, more prosperous, Ogun State. I urge you all to continue their good work, and I assure you that the Ogun State Police Command will remain committed to supporting and empowering you’, Ogunlowo emphasised.

Penpushing further reports that the police disclosed that as his own token appreciation announce a substantial donation to support the 30th anniversary projects of the Honorary Mess leadership, adding that the command recognize the impact of their collaborative efforts and pledge continued support.

The Special Weapon and Tactics (SWAT) boss in his remarks after receiving the award, expressed appreciation to the organisers for considering him for the honour, adding that the award will serve as motivation for him in carrying out his duty

‘I want to appreciate the organisers of this memorable event, and equally appreciate the Ogun State Police Command led by Commissioner of Police Lanre Ogunlowo for this honour. This award is motivational for me and added value to my career’, he said
