Soun Ogbomoso joins ancestors
The traditional ruler of Ogbomoso, Oba Jimoh Oyewunmi in the early hours of Sunday joined his ancestors at 95, and was accomplished businessman until he ascended the throne of his forefathers
Penpushing reports that, Private Secretary to the late monarch, Toyin Ajamu, said further announcements would be made by the appropriate quarters on the demise of the royal father who was born on May 27, 1926, to the Gbagun ruling house and ascended the throne as the 20th Soun Ogbomoso in Oyo State.
The palace sources as at the time of filing this report has it that, family, Chiefs and kinsmen of the deceased monarch had started arriving at the palace to mourn the departure of the first class traditional ruler.
Penpushing further reports that, Oyewunmi ascended the throne in 1973, reigned as Ajagungbade III for 48 years, and was an accomplished businessman until he ascended the throne of his forefathers.
