Six friends die after consuming drink together
Six friends have been confirmed dead after consuming an alcoholic drink at a drinking joint on Tuesday in Ogbogbo, Ijebu North-East Local Government Area of Ogun state, where they had gathered to socialize
Penpushing reports that the deceased had earlier had a serious altercation with the seventh of them, which was later resolved, and thereafter the seventh person offered a bottle of an alcoholic drink to affirm their reconciliation.
The development, however, took a shocking dimension hours after they dispersed, the six of them who consumed the drink reportedly died, while the seventh person was said not to partake of it and survived, and was said to have fled the area in the wake of the incident
Penpushing further reports that Ogun State Police Command Public Relations Officer Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident, adding that the families said they were not pressing charges and prefer to bury their dead.
