
Senator Salisu celebrates women on international day
The Senator representing Ogun Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly Senator Shuaib Salisu has joined the world to celebrate women, pointing out that this year theme,”Empower, Inspire, Elevate,” called for need to reflect on the legacies of great women who have shaped history and continue to inspire others.
Penpushing reports that Salisu who is Chairman, Senate Committee on ICT and Cybersecurity in a letter sent to Women and Girls of Ogun Central Senatorial District pointed out the relevance of women in nations building, adding that their strength, courage, strong character, and determination are an inspiration to all
“On this special occasion of International Women’s Day, I join the world in celebrating your strength, resilience, character, and remarkable achievements. We honour the indomitable spirit of Madam Efunroye Tinubu, a trailblazing entrepreneur and political leader whose courage and resilience in the face of adversity remain a source of inspiration. Her legacy reminds us of the power of determination and the importance of standing firm for justice”, he said
“We pay tribute to Madam Funmilayo Ransome Kuti, a fearless advocate for women’s rights, education, and social justice. Her life’s work continues to empower women to rise, speak out, and demand equality in all spheres of life.
