Senator Adeola facilitates Information Communication Technology training for 1,500 participants
The Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola has organized Information Communication Technology (ICT) training for 1,500 participants which include journalists, lawyers, medical personnel among others.
Penpushing reports that the three-day training which was done in batches took place at the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Centre of the Comprehensive High School, Ayetoro, Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The participants after the training were awarded certificates with laptops for each of them, meant to further aide their performances in their profession at their various operational base and develop them in this era of computer knowledge and skills
Penpushing further reports that the sponsor popularly called Yayi explained that the training will equally to boost their capacity building and equally fine-tune and update their skills with the latest Information Communication Technology (ICT) applications and technologies
The federal lawmaker reiterated his commitment to facilitate more projects capable of enhancing capacity building and develop his senatorial district, stressing that apart from ensuring physical and infrastructural development of the senatorial district through quality and robust representation, he would continue to intensify his efforts on encouraging vocational trainings targeted at individual development of the people.
Penpushing also reports that Adeola, who is the Chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriation, pointed out that the training was one of the projects being facilitated and lined up to increase the knowledge and enhance individual development of the people of Ogun West.
The Senator disclosed that selected teachers and students of secondary schools in the senatorial district had earlier been trained and empowered with computer laptops, adding, that with the latest Information Communication Technology (ICT) training, more than 1,500 laptops have been distributed
Penpushing reports that he encouraged the beneficiaries of the training to use the knowledge they acquired to enhance their service delivery and skills, with assurance that he would continue to give quality representation at the Senate with the view of facilitating more life-changing projects to Ogun West.
