Security agents storm magu’s residence
The residence of the suspended acting chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu is now said to be under surveillance following the presence of a combined team of riot policemen and operatives of the State Security Services (SSS)
Penpushing reports that, this was ongoing on as the embattled Magu is reported to be with the Presidential panel, while source said operatives were detailed to conduct searches at his private home in Karu and his official residence in the Maitama District of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory(FCT).
The domestic staff at the home confirmed the presence of the security operatives as at the time of filing this report, adding that the operatives arrived in four vehicles and searched the over an hour, stating that, “they searched the house but found nothing so they wrote a report and both of us signed,”
Penpushing further reports that family source who preferred anonymity while corroborating the development said, “as I speak with you our men are on their way to Maitama, having finished with his house in Karu,”.
The suspended anti-graft boss was on Monday arrested by security officials in front of the office in Abuja over allegations of corruption, insubordination and abuse of office by Attorney-General Abubakar Malami.
Penpushing also reports that he was driven to the Presidential Villa, Abuja, where he appeared before a presidential panel investigating alleged corruption and insubordination and subsequently suspended on Tuesday.
The embattled commission boss, after his appearance before the panel was taken into custody by the police, where he was held overnight by detectives, while as at now, the Presidential spokespersons, Garba Shehu and Femi Adesina are yet to comment on the development.
