Sanusi Lamido Sanusi meets Niger Republic coup leader

Penpushing reports that Lamido a close ally of Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu was sighted in a picture with the leader of the junta, but as at the filing of filing this report it was not clear under the authority he visited the coupists, and his mission
The former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN), was accompanied on the visit by the Emir of Damagaram in Zinder, in the Maradi region of Niger, while it on record that the troubled country is a member of the Tijaniyah Islamic movement
Penpushing further reports that it is recalled that the coupists had earlier denied the American delegation on his to the country access to the ousted President Mohamed Bazoum as well as their military leader
The coupists in similar vein declined to meet with an Economic Community of West Africa States(ECOWAS) delegation led by former military leader of Nigeria General Abdulsalami Abubakar, while some regional body of the commission imposed sanctions on Niger, but the coupists remain adamant to return power to the democratically elected government.
Penpushing also reports that the Economic Community of West Africa States (ECOWAS leaders have scheduled another meeting on Thursday to review the situation in Niger Republic following the expiration of the one week ultimatum given to the coupists to relinquish power back to President Mohamed Bazoum.
