Robbers invade Chicken Republic in Lagos, shoot staff
The Chicken Republic branch in the Lekki area of Lagos state has been attacked by armed robbers who shot one of its staff members, said to be receiving treatment at an undisclosed health facility as at the time of filing this report.
Penpushing reports that the management of the restaurant confirmed this in a series of Tweets and called for prayers for the injured staff, also appealed to the police authorities to investigate and help bring perpetrators to book
“Earlier today, a member of our team was shot at our Admiralty Lekki 1 Branch, in an attempted robbery. He is currently receiving medical attention and we ask that you join us to pray for his recovery,” the management said.
“We are deeply saddened by this despicable act of violence and are already working with the @PoliceNG to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to book. Our efforts remain consistent in ensuring our outlets are secure nationwide.”
Penpushing further reports that Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident which occurred on Sunday, adding that as at the time of this report, there was no update on the crime
